I-E-10-d MARCUS AURELUS SIBERT (1904 – 1969), son of James Neely Sibert⁴ (Jasper Sibert³, David², John David¹)

Marcus Aurelius Sibert was born on 12 May 1904 in Arkansas. [1][2, 1903][3] He died of lung cancer on 4 March 1969, aged 65, in Des Arc, Prairie County, Arkansas. [2][3] He is buried in the Lakeside Cemetery in Des Arc. [2][3] Marcus A. of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas married first Dixie May Schultz of Jonesboro on 20 January 1926 in Jonesboro. [1][4] Dixie, the daughter of George and Lizzie (Clark) Schultz, was born on 9 March 1906 in Arkansas. [3] She died of puerperal fever (postpartum infection) on 15 March 1936, age 30, in Jonesboro. [3] She is buried in the Shiloh Cemetery. [2][3] M.A. Sibert married second Miss Geraldine Hendrix on or just after they obtained a marriage license on 9 December 1939 in Craighead County. [7] Geraldine was born on 19 September 1909 and died in October 1981. [5] She is buried with Marcus in the Lakeside Cemetery. [2]

Marcus's death certificate says he was the son of James Sibert and Hattie Aldridge[!]. He was a retired farmer. [3]

Children of Marcus Aurelius Sibert and Dixie May Schultz:

i. Marcus A. Sibert, the son of Marcus A. and Dix May Schultz, was born on 21 November 1926 in Craighead County and died on 21 November 1926. [3] He is buried in the Shiloh Cemetery. [3]

ii. James Orville Sibert was born on 23 November 1927 in Jonesboro. [1][2][6][7] He died on 22 February 2004, aged 76. [2] James O. of Jonesboro, age 18, married first Jane Vandine Adams, aged 16, of Jonesboro on 17 January 1945. [4][7] Jane was the daughter of Aubrey Adams. She was born on 17 January 1929 in Arkansas. [2][7] She died on 18 September 2007, aged 78, and is buried in the Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Craighead County. [2] James and Jane divorced on 30 January 1950 in Woodruff County, Arkansas. [8] Jane married second L.C. Snyder. [2] James married second Hazel Hensley in 1950. [2] Hazel, the daughter of Henry and Gladys Hensley, was born on 31 July 1932 and died on 20 July 2005, aged 72. [2] James and Hazel are buried in the Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Saline County, Arkansas. [2]

James Orvell of Jonesboro, aged 18, listed his father-in-law, Aubrey Adams, as his contact on his 26 November 1945 World War II draft registration card. [6]

James was survived by his six sons and two sisters. [2]

Children of James Orville Sibert and Jane Adams: (order uncertain, and not including those possibly living)

Paul D. Sibert was born on 27 January 1947. [9] He died on 1 March 2019, aged 72. [9] He was buried in the Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland. [2][9]

According to his obituary, Paul was the son of James A. and Janie V. (Snyder) Sibert. His brother Danny and his sisters Alice Faye, Patricia Ann, and Belinda [!] Kay preceded him in death. He was survived by his wife, two sons, three daughters, and four brothers. [9]
Patricia Ann Sibert was born on 24 July 1948. [2][3] Patricia Ann, the daughter of James Orville and Jane (Adams) Sibert, died of pneumonia and malnutrition on 21 October 1948. [2][3] She and her sister Glinda are buried together in the Pine Log Cemetery. [2]
Glinda Kay Sibert was born on 2 August 1949 in Little Dixie, Arkansas. [2][3, 2 October] Glinda Kay, the daughter of James Orville and Jannis [?]audine (Adams) Sibert, died of pneumonia on 28 November 1949, age one, in Butler, Lonoke County, Arkansas. [2][3]
Danny Sibert died by 1 March 2019. (mother uncertain)

Children of James Orville Sibert and Hazel Hensley:

Alice Faye Sibert was born on 3 April 1951 in Arkansas. [2][3] She died on 27 June 1968, age 17, in Little Rock, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. [2][3] She is buried in the Ida Mission Cemetery in Little Rock, Pulaski County, AR. [2]

iii. Dan H. Sibert was born on 6 February 1929 in Arkansas. [2] He died when his lumber truck overturned on 25 November 1959. [2] He is buried in the Shiloh Cemetery. [2] He married Mary Tilghman on 30 January 1948 in Pulaski County. [7][8] Mary, the daughter of Earl M. and Maggie E. (Putt) Tilghman, was born on 11 April 1931 in Carlisle, Lonoke County, Arkansas. [2][10] She died on 29 September 2003 and is buried in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. [2][10] Dan and Mary divorced on 24 April 1951 in Pulaski County. [8] Mary married second Jack Ernest Leistikow. [2]
